Eisai Manufacturing is the hub of Eisai’s production and supply chain.
We make tablets, package these into blisters, label and package vials and bottles. We also manage the wider medicines supply chain and other companies who undertake work on our behalf.
Manufacturing and packaging expertise is core to production; however, a number of other functions are absolutely key to the success of our operation.
82 countries across the world are now supplied by Eisai Manufacturing, reaching around 500,000 patients
10 products with 29 different formulations are produced and/or packaged on-site in Hatfield
Over 180 employees work at Eisai Manufacturing, where operations run 16 hours a day
Manufacturing & Packaging
Tablets are manufactured through granulation, drying, compression and coating. Our manufacturing equipment is of the highest quality and engineered to ensure the safety of our team. Safety and quality are of the upmost importance within all our operations.
Eisai Manufacturing has traditional and high containment blister lines, vial and bottle packaging lines – all operated by a highly-skilled team.
Packaging Design & Artwork
The design and artwork of blister packs, leaflets and labels is managed by a talented and dedicated in-house department.
Supply Chain & Warehouse
Patient demand determines how much, when and where our medicines are needed, and supply chain management ensures patients never go without. Their focus on this ensures materials needed for production are purchased and received on time and that the finished product is dispatched from our warehouse to its required location within the UK, Europe and around the globe.
Quality
All materials have to be tested to ensure they meet our high-quality standards, and our medicines are only released after a strict Quality Control process. The production of medicines has to be completed under licences, supported by systems and quality assurance processes.
Technical and Engineering
The science of materials, manufacturing and packaging is at the heart of high quality and safety.
New product introduction, continuous improvement, and investments are a core part of our business. This is managed by our talented Technical and Engineering functions.
